Grec 09 Festival de Barcelona

Until 2nd August 2009, the city of Barcelona has transformed itself into one great stage where more than 60 theatre, music, dance and circus shows will be presented, with something for all tastes.

The productions selected for the Grec’09 programme include both pieces certain to awaken the curiosity of the most demanding spectator and others aimed at drawing in new audiences.

The organisers invite you to enjoy a vast and varied sample of what is happening onstage today. The 26 venues for the Grec Festival feature works ranging from the most classical drama to the most radical theatre; from new works by up-and-coming Catalan playwrights to outstanding productions on the international scene; from shows for family audiences to the most innovative developments in digital art; in short, a whole world of choice.

The festival itself reflects the open, creative mentality of Barcelona’s people.  Where better to prepare yourself for the experience that by staying at Hotel Omm, itself Barcelona in its purist form.

Selous project wins global recognition

The Selous Conservation Programme (SCP), which was implemented from the late 1980s through a German support, has set a precedent in wildlife management.

Many aspects of the programme are now accepted as modern best practices in sustainable wildlife conservation, it was revealed.

Mr Gerhard Anger, a German aid agency (GTZ) official, says SCP has contributed significantly “to the knowledge of how to manage biodiversity projects in the context of development cooperation.”

“It has also influenced Tanzania’s wildlife policy development. At the same time, SCP has produced tangible results in and around the reserve and these are acknowledged worldwide,” he noted.

WhiteLineHotels.com is LIVE

Welcome all.

Today marks the start of our quest to present hotels that challenge hotel monotony, make a statement, have attitude, are fun, relaxed places – cast only for their neighbourhoods.

As often is the case, a group of friends that were fed up sat together one night over a few bottles of wine and started to formulate a plan to embark upon a quest. We wanted to create a company that, at its core, believed in individuals, being human and having fun along the way.

So here it is – White Line Hotels.

Hotel star ratings, or how much money the hotel cost to create has little credence for us, it is rather more the soul or even the simplicity of the place. Original artworks or the cheeses and freshly baked breads served for breakfast, the local soaps in the bathroom, the handmade rug and bespoke furnishings or the intelligent use of the building – these are crafted elements that depict difference and importance.

Gluing the right hotels together to form a community is a painstaking process, but we’ll continually add new places, creating a hotel “store” of places to stay to make sure you know where to stay.

Please get in touch with us, send us your thoughts, ideas, suggestions, or just say Hi.  Email us at feedme@whitelinehotels.com – we’re hungry to know what you want.
