After a number of hugely successful Budapest bath house parties, Cinetrip is at it again, presenting Water Circus – Volume 1 in the Széchenyi Bath. What is Cinetrip? Imagine reclining in an outdoor thermal pool surrounded by fire jugglers and acrobats, water ballets and belly dancers, 360° visuals and a top DJ’s.

On July 16th the historic Széchenyi Bath will open its doors to invite Cinetrippers to party through the night. The location, even without acrobats and fire jugglers, is incredible. The bath opened in 1881 as a temporary Artesian Bath, becoming a permanent feature in the city centre in 1913. The castle like complex contains 3 large outdoor pools and a massive swimming pool with a 26° C water temperature, a streaming pool, an effervescent bath, a massage bath and a variety of thermal pools in a range of temperatures, all surrounded by magnificent turn of the century architecture.

The Cinetrip parties started out indoors, at the luxurious Rudas baths, as an event featuring silent movies with live soundtracks. It quickly grew into an all out party, the baths serving as the dance floor. Reviews of previous parties have called them an impressive mix of history and hedonism. Cinetrip has been putting together parties for over 10 years, so they’re completely professionally organized. At Water Circus house music will dominate featuring DJ’s M.A.N.D.Y. (Philipp Jung DJ set / Get Physical Music / Berlin), Siopis (Get Physical Music / Berlin), Crimson, TMX, and Popbitch. Over 30 acrobats will mix with partygoers and the debut of the Tesla Thunder Generator sounds like a crowd stopper. Visuals will be presented by Skylab, Neon Edge, Nordos Artwork, and Ivo 3D.
All that partying is sure to be exhausting, but that’s where the healing qualities of the waters come in. Infused with natural healing minerals, the waters from the 2nd St. Stephen’s Well are refreshing and curative.
You’ll be able to take in more of historic Budapest, right outside your window at the Lánchíd 19 hotel. Overlooking the Buda Royal Castle, just steps from the Lánchíd (Chain Bridge), and minutes from Budapest’s creative district, a stay at the hotel is just one more way to relish summer nights in Budapest.
