Be rational, there is no California road trip.

What is the deal with bunnies?

If like us you’ve survived the freakish winter, the new decade slog at work, the tedious post New Year chats, you’re probably starting to feel a bit like robots. Yes? Then, do something about it. We might not be able to offer you hot hot hot, but we can offer you a change of scenery. We know how sometimes you can’t pinpoint what you want so it blurts out as “sun, oh god the sun, I miss the sun”. It’s maybe not just the sun. We need a bit of variation as going to a different supermarket or taking a different route home is a start but it really isn’t as environment changing as we’d like.

We’re looking out for your needs, for your welfare and happiness. Think of us as something between a shoulder to cry on and fun fascists.

Swirl from designaffairs

Hamburg based design studio designaffairs has just released the promising  “Swirl”.  While it looks like a giant toy ball covered in eye-catching colours, it is actually much more practical.

Designed to relieve the burden of washing clothes Swirl can make a huge local impact in countries where this seemingly simple task requires a great deal of exertion.  Often water sources are located some distance away and the physical burden of carrying the laundry can be overwhelming.  Every element of Swirl’s clever design was carefully considered to give the user a variety of options for Swirl’s operation. Live booze and food in the East.

The backstage Kitchen Party at East gives you the chance to experience their varied menus first hand.

Select delicious sushi or sashimi treats from the sushi bar while you watch the masters at work. Watch over the shoulder of head chef Tell Wagner as he prepares your food in the kitchen. Or, if you prefer, take part in the various sessions at the live cooking stations in the restaurant.

All good food needs good booze. The live cookery event is matched by the presence of a number of significant wineries and their head honchos, sharing their thoughts and favourtie wines.
