Cappadocia (Kapadokya) in Turkey is perhaps one of the most intriguing places in Central Asia, famed for the spectacular lunar landscapes hewn out of the soft wind blown rock.
We’ve chosen a small, private hotel in Ürgüp – the aptly named FRESCO CAVE SUITES & MANSIONS, is brimming with lovely artefacts, knotted Kilims, original frescos depicting Islamic floral scenes and a scattering of antiquities that root the concept.
