In September 2009 Birgitta Ralston was asked by Fretex (norwegian salvation army) to undertake a concept and trend research project into the business of redesign. Part of this research covered re-design development.
A variety of possible future scenarios were discussed and re-design object samples made by Ralston & Bau where presented. Their objects showed that by re-using objects and putting them in a new context, you not only make a sustainable impact but also give new life to objects that tell a story.
One of the first products Ralston & Bau designed is the “Tekannelampe” (tea pot light – pictured). To see more of their re-designs click here or pick up the November issue of ICON magazine.
