WHO IS REISETBAUER? HANS REISETBAUER is a distiller, fruit-grower, farmer, forester, machine-builder and traveller.

WHAT DOES REISETBAUER MAKE? REISETBAUER distills a selection of brandies, all of them 100 per cent genuine, pure and unadulterated. Under no circumstances are sugar or fragrances ever added to his brandies of varying flavours, ranging from Apple or Carrot, through to Damson Plum or Wild Cherry.

In addition to his brandies, REISETBAUER makes a single malt Whisky, distilled in a single distillery in a pot still and aged until fully mature in four casks that the top Austrian winemakers Alois Kracher and Heinz Velich previously used for aging Chardonnay and Trockenbeerenauslese.

WHAT MAKES THEM SO SPECIAL? The REISETBAUER family farm, Kirchdorfergut, is located in the Hausruckviertel district of Upper Austria. Because of its favourable soils and a climate with wide fluctuations in temperature, it is one of the best Austrian regions for growing fruit.

An indispensable ingredient in making high-quality distillates is the perfect quality of the fruit. That is why the Reisetbauer family tends the orchards with the utmost of care, beginning with expert selection of trees adapted to the special growing conditions, continuing with rigorous pruning to reduce yield and improve quality.
