WHO IS BEHIND ELLENBERGERDESIGN? JANNIS ELLENBERGER established his company in 2006 after finishing his studies at the Academy for Design in Münster, Germany. He is a freelance designer for several international companies in the field of interior and product design such as furniture, lighting and table top. Jannis has two boys and lives and works in Bremen, Germany.

WHAT IS ELLENBERGERDESIGN ABOUT? Because of his background as a cabinetmaker, Jannis turned out to mainly work in the field of furniture. He basically offers design services to manufacturing companies, but at the same time he is able to handle small series or single unit production on request. Jannis continues to love using wood as a natural and sustainable resource. There are a lot of projects where he combines wood with all kinds of materials. Ellenberger Studio also covers complete interior designs.

HOW DID IT ALL START? They were a handful of students showing up with their final year projects at the IMM (Cologne Furniture Fair). Jannis was quite ingenuous - right after his degree - but sure enough to make his first acquisition. Having these first experiences encouraged him to move on to Salone del Mobile in Milano - the most important international furniture fair - and that's where it all started...
