Magical hotels are created when born of a dream, a vision and commitment to, one day, build something that tastes of neighbourhood heritage with a distinctive signature. A place whereby trying to decide which is your favourite sofa, picture, carpet, or room for that matter, is going to be soo deliciously difficult.
It took 5 years to "make" The Greenwich Hotel in the artisan TriBeCa in lower Manhattan – If you relish in the delights of hand crafted products that foster traditional methods, skills & materials – you’re gonna feel the shared passion here - for it’s brimming with all of those things that evoke the feeling of being “comfy”, familiar, verging on the almost romantic.
Orchestrated pieces of brick, salvaged woods, furniture, frames, books, carpets, cloths, tiles all have a story to tell, a purpose of being present forming an imaginative menagerie of comfort. Skilful direction and vision has captured the essence of that "continental country house", pleasantly unpretentious, firmly rooted into its’ muti-culti home.
