Meet the GOLD-BERGS, our Autumn line-up of Alpine Hotels dressed in the amber tones of an Indian Summer - that's Fall - from Italy, Austria, Germany and Switzerland. The scene is indeed magical, a seasonal window of 3 months bathed in soft sunlight marking the start of the wonderful Alpine Indian Summer.
The Alpine Indian Summer is all about a sea of gold that throws itself against the contrast of lush, verdant hardy pine & fir trees, soaring through the canopy of yellow and amber browns from South Tyrol to Tegernsee in Bavaria. This is when the cows return from the high meadows to the villages suitably attired in flowers, and when the bountiful harvests of grapes, apples and chestnuts punctuate the mountain air.
Check out one of our 22 hotels in the Alps, featuring the classic destinations from Zermatt, Lech Am Arlberg and Lake Lucerne to the more off-radar Alpine enclaves like Saanen-Gstaad or stunning Vals and Bad Gastein.
Catch the last glimpse of pastures bare between now and early November and snap up some late days of the Alpine Indian Summer. Fall into the Alps this Autumn – why is Autumn the only season to have two names? – but who really cares, this natural theatre could have dozens, as far as we're concerned.
Did you know – our tidy little travel edits features some 60+ hotels, including our fabulous: ALPINISTS, or for more sun-kissed vibes visit our UNWAXED LEMONS for all things Mediterranean, and dip your style toes into the LUXURIANS for a touch of serious glam, before going wild with our rural design hubs in our SALT & TURF EDIT, before finishing the trip off with a chillax amongst some CULTURE KIDS.
