'David Bowie Is' Exhibition Lands in Barcelona

Revolutionary, icon, maverick and bedazzling performer, David Bowie altered how people performed, engaged with and listened to music for good. An enduring cultural icon, his world-famous retrospective exhibition, David Bowie Is has electrified at the UK’s Victoria and Albert Museum since 2013, and made history with over 1.5 million visitors worldwide.

On a hotspot tour across nine countries, including Canada, France, Germany, Holland, Australia and Brazil, David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust is now set to touch down in cool cat Barcelona from 25th May 2017 at the city’s centre of culture, Museu Del Disseny.

An immersive audio-visual experience surrounds this whole exhibition, fuelled with art, music, design and over 300 specially curated objects, including photographs, films, album covers, handwritten letters and over 60 original costumes – from the Ziggy Stardust designs in 1972 to the infamous Union Jack cloth designed by David Bowie and Alexander McQueen, worn for the album cover Earthling in 1997.
