If you are looking for the insider scene of downtown Zurich, look no further. Creative, cool and avant-garde – the Widder Hotel in Zurich, Switzerland has never been one to do things by halves. Pairing 14th century medieval frescoes with original Andy Warhol’s they effortlessly combine classic luxury with contemporary cool and have now turned their attentions to their new pop-up bar; boy, do they not disappoint.
During the complete restaurant & bar renovation, the cool team of the Widder decided to create a new place for their avid fans - cocktails, music and livley crowd have already made this temporary pitstop the 'in' place to be seen, naturally underground.
Creating the Widder’s expansive garage (once home to horse drawn carriages, don’t you know) into a 'must go' venue pushing a retro, shabby-chic vibe - think contemporary edgy with a soulful twist – has been a natural transition for Widder Hotel, already host to one of the best bars in town.
Bar-wise they really know their stuff and their expansive cocktail list opens on the wise words of Frank Sinatra: ‘Alcohol may be man’s worst enemy, but the bible says love your enemy’.
Welcome to Widder Garage.
Boasting ‘handcrafted and fuelled’ mixtures and ‘spirits to keep your engines running’, the cool, clever garage vibe is not lost on them or their sense of humour, making this pop-up all the more charismatic.
Their extensive tonics are accompanied by the music of the minute – whether it be a deep house and electronica night, a 90s disco vibe, current club classics or jazz, funk and soul – we guarantee your feet will at the very least be tapping.
